Privacy Policy for Sheer Velocity Gymnastics Club App

1. Who We Are

Sheer Velocity Gymnastics Club ("we", "us", "our") operates the Sheer Velocity app to help coaches and parents track gymnast progress and skill development.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect and store the following information:

  • Gymnast information: name, current level, award scheme, and skill progress records

  • Parent/guardian contact details: email addresses provided for level-pass notifications

  • User account information: name and email address of coaches and parents who register for the app

  • Session and coaching data: session schedules and assigned coaches

3. Why We Collect It

We use this data to:

  • Track gymnast skill progress and level advancement

  • Notify parents/guardians by email when a gymnast passes a level

  • Allow coaches to manage sessions and gymnast rosters

  • Allow parents to view their child's progress

4. Who Has Access

  • Coaches can view and update progress for gymnasts in their sessions

  • Parents can view the progress of their own child(ren)

  • Club administrators can manage all records within the app

  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties

5. Email Notifications

When a gymnast completes all skills for a level, an automated email is sent to the parent/guardian email address on file. This is sent via Resend, a third-party email delivery service. Resend processes email data on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements.

6. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform. Data is not transferred outside the United Kingdom / European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards in place.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by using the Delete Account option within the app settings, or by contacting us directly.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Object to or restrict processing of your data

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

9. Cookies

The app may use essential session cookies to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
